Gimble Gaming

Pitch a game

Got an idea, or a game you started? Pitch it to us.

Send us an idea for a browser game, or a game you started and couldn't finish. We read every pitch, and when one is strong enough, we build or finish it ourselves, put it on Gimble Gaming for free, and credit you on the game's page.

Most pitches aren't built. We choose only a few, so most people get a short, friendly no. You don't need to know how to code to pitch an idea.

Three ways to send us a game

How it works

  1. PitchTell us what the player does and why it's fun. For a game you started, add a link to what you have.
  2. ScreenWe check that it fits the site: family friendly, original, and playable in a phone browser.
  3. ReviewA person scores it on the four points below. Only pitches that score high on all four go further.
  4. BuildIf we choose it, we email you before we start. When the game is out, its page credits you.

Every pitch is scored on four points

Pitch terms

  • Pitches aren't confidential. Don't send anything you need kept secret.
  • We get many ideas and may already be making something similar. We can make games like your pitch without owing you anything.
  • By pitching, you let Known Quantity LLC, the company behind Gimble Gaming, use, change and build on your idea, free of charge and for good. You can still use the idea yourself.
  • For a game you started: if we choose it, you also let Known Quantity LLC copy, change, finish and publish the code, art and sound you sent, free of charge and for good. You keep your own copy and can still use it.
  • Send only work you made yourself or have the right to share, with nothing taken from other games or creators.
  • If we build a game from your pitch, its page credits you by the name you gave: "Game idea by" for an idea, "Co-created with" for a game you started. Credit is the reward: there is no payment, royalty or revenue share. If that ever changes, we will offer it to you in writing before we start.
  • We reply to every pitch, usually with a short yes or no. We can't send detailed feedback on every idea.
  • We use your email only to reply about your pitch, and we delete pitches we don't build after 12 months.
  • If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must pitch for you.

Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

Not for an idea. We build the games.

What's the difference between a game I started and a finished game?

A finished game goes on the Community page as yours, and you keep ownership. A game you started is one we take over and finish, so it becomes a Gimble Gaming game, with you credited as co-creator.

Will I be paid?

No. Every game here is free, with no ads or purchases, so there is no income to share. Credit on the game's page is the reward.

Can I pitch more than one game?

Yes. Send each one on its own form, so each one is scored on its own.
