How to play
- Pick a day; a cat orders a cake, and the sloth chef plays its recipe once as a drum beat.
- When it's your turn, play the same beat back on the Flour, Eggs, Sugar and Cherries pads.
- Better timing bakes a prettier cake and puts more coins in the tip jar.
- Average 60% timing over the day's five orders to earn a star and open the next day.
Controls
- Touch
- Tap the four ingredient pads; in Test Kitchen, tap the grid to add or remove notes
- Mouse
- Click the ingredient pads; in Test Kitchen, click the grid to add or remove notes
- Keyboard
- D, F, J, K, 1 to 4 or the arrow keys to play the pads, Space for the Test Kitchen loop, P or Esc to pause
Tips
- Taps before your turn don't count, so drum along while the chef plays to learn the beat.
- Every extra tap shows Oops and costs timing points, so only play the notes in the recipe.
- The grid above the pads shows the whole recipe, with a highlight that moves along with the music.
- In Rush Hour each cake is a little faster, and three lumpy cakes end the shift.
